Walking with Ghosts
We are excited to announce that Walking With Ghosts will return to the Folkestone Harbour arm on 11 and 12 November 2023.
Walking with Ghosts is an immersive installation which explores the impact of conflict on Folkestone and its community over the last 100 years.
The project is part of the IWM 14-18 NOW Legacy Fund, a national programme of 22 artist commissions inspired by the heritage of conflict and created in partnership with Imperial War Museums and 14-18 NOW, the official UK arts programme for the First World War centenary.
After being launched at the Folkestone Harbour Arm between 11 and 14 November 2022 we are excited to announce that **it will return for 2023. **
After a launch event, featuring welcome talks and a minutes silence on Saturday 11 November at 11:00, and the installation will play between 15:30 and 23:00 each day.
Over the weekend there will be other opportunities to engage with the project and local community through a number of workshops and events including the reopening of The Mole Café on The Harbour Arm for the weekend and a screening of They Shall Not Grow Old on the Harbour Screen on Sunday.
