The 50th Anniversary of the Folkestone Trawler Race Weekend
The Folkestone Trawler Race is a part of Folkestone’s fishing history, for it’s 50th year there will be lots going on:
The Fish Pie Competition
Friday 8th August From 2pm
For the first time ever it will be hosted in the Goods Yard and is open to all to enter. Please contact folkestone.trawler.race@gmail.com to enter.
The Trawler Race
Saturday 9th August the annual trawler race is back with Folkestone boats and visiting vessels taking to the open sea doing battle with flour cannons before racing along the White Cliffs to see who comes out on top!
Paddle Board Race and Raft Race
Sunday 10th August
Cheer on from the quay side as the Paddle boarders race around the inner harbour. This is followed by the raft race as homemade craft navigate the harbour in fancy dress to see who will lift the trophy. Open to all please contact folekstone.trawler.race@gmail.com to enter.
