What began as a chance encounter at a Welsh craft centre over 15 years ago has grown into the thriving creative business that is Burning Desires Pyrography today.
Using the traditional art of pyrography (wood burning), we create one-of-a-kind memory boxes, memorial plaques, bespoke signs and finely detailed pet portraits.
What truly sets us apart is that every piece is entirely hand-burned — no lasers, no shortcuts — just genuine craftsmanship and skill. We specialise in custom commissions and personalise our pieces with names and details on the spot, creating items that are both meaningful and unique.
After years of trading at major events across the country, we were delighted to establish a permanent home here at Folkestone’s Harbour Arm. We love being part of this vibrant seaside destination and welcoming both returning customers and new visitors who discover us while exploring the Arm.
In recent years, we have expanded into western wear and are now proud to be a major producer of custom Stetson hats, each individually designed and finished by hand. This year also sees the introduction of custom-crafted western boots and handcrafted boot charms, further strengthening our distinctive western collection.
