We are excited to announce that Folkestone Harbour is now accepting applications for our 2025 Marketplace, running March - October next year.
Folkestone Marketplace is home to a humming collection of small, independent shops and stores. During a short browse, visitors can cast the eyes over a seemingly never ending curation of eclectic items, from English Wine and artworks to home furnishings and ceramics.
To reflect our desire to make the Marketplace a space where anyone can bring their little shop dreams to life within a thriving visitor attraction, we have reduced our rates dramatically for 2025 to make more business dreams a reality. Find out more information below in the FAQs.

Folkestone Festive Marketplace receives a high volume of applications from a wide range of exceptional businesses. We take into consideration many different elements when selecting traders to be a part of the marketplace, when deciding which applications are successful we consider the following points:
Quality: We are particularly interested in handmade or locally sourced products, however this is not essential.
Hut Decoration and Layout: Tell us about how you would kit out your Hut. How will your products be presented? Would you put up shelving or interiors? What colour will you paint?
Product Range: The range of products you sell will be taken into consideration, including how this would fit into the curation of the overall Marketplace.
Price Range: We are looking for a range of variously priced products that suit all customer budgets. You should demonstrate your minimum and maximum prices in your application.

Based on traditional fisherman huts, our timber front opening huts are a great option to show off your wares. At approximately 3m x 3m, these huts have two front facing doors and a canopy extending the footprint of the hut. All huts will be ready to move in to with either wooden ply walls or painted white. All huts have; 2 double 13 amp sockets and a LED bulkhead light. These huts are essentially blank canvases ready to be transformed.
On return, traders will need to ensure Huts are white boxed, with any wall holes filled in.
